What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-45 in Houston, TX on May 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:40 a.m. A Toyota Avalon operated by a 30-year-old San Leon, TX man was headed northbound on I-45 when it collided with a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 26-year-old Noe Covarrubias. It then vaulted over a concrete divider and fell over, colliding with a Chevrolet Cruze. Covarrubias suffered serious injuries while both of the other drivers were evaluated for possible injuries. The San Leon man was charged with Aggravated Assault.
