What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at FM 3130 near Sonora, TX on March 31st, 2022. Officials say the incident happened around 2:24 a.m. A Chevrolet Malibu operated by a 17-year-old driver was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when it veered from the road at a curve. It then went into a ditch and through a fence before hitting multiple trees. Two people, including 32-year-old Noe Rolando Hernandez-Lopez, were ejected from the vehicle and Hernandez-Lopez suffered fatal injuries. Three others were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
