Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a woman at State Hwy 1 in Jim Wells County, TX on January 21st, 2023. Police say it happened around 3 a.m. Investigators say a Chevrolet Equinox operated by a 38-year-old San Diego, TX man was headed northwest at the time. They allege the man was engaged in argument with his passenger, 45-year-old Norma Ramirez, as the vehicle traveled. They say Ramirez exited the vehicle while it was in motion and suffered serious injuries. It has been further alleged that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
