What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a two-vehicle accident that injured several people at State Hwy 360 in Arlington, TX on September 3rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:18 p.m. According to investigators, a BMW X3 operated by a 34-year-old Arlington man was southbound behind a Buick Lacrosse operated by a 39-year-old driver. Officials say the BMW traveled into the Buick's lane pf travel before striking the rear of the vehicle, causing the Buick to lose control before it was struck a second time. The BMW is said to have also lost control, veering into an outside shoulder barrier wall while the Buick overturned multiple times. While the Buick occupants were not injured, according to police, officials say 32-year0old BMW passenger, Nshimba Aisha Garba, was seriously injured. Several child occupants of the BMW also suffered injuries considered non-life-threatening. The Arlington man was not injured, according to police, who allege suspicion the driver may have been intoxicated at the time of the crash. Sources indicate a DWI charge was recommended and/or issued against the driver of the BMW. Additional information was not available.
