Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 60 in Deaf Smith County, TX on August 16th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:42 p.m. A Nissan Titan operated 35-year-old Nune Perez is accused of failing to control its speed when a tractor-trailer ahead began slowing to make a right hand turn. The Titan collided with the rear of a truck, causing Perez serious injuries. The truck driver was not injured. Police issued Perez a citation for Failure to Control Speed.
