Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured an officer at US 83 in Rio Grande City, TX on April 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:31 a.m. According to reports, a Jeep Cherokee operated by a 38-year-old man was headed westbound when it collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by an unidentified police officers. The vehicles collided, causing unknown injuries. The Jeep driver was charged with Intoxication Assault and Resisting Arrest.
