What Happened

San Antonio Police are investigating a crash that injured two people at I-35 in San Antonio, TX on January 20th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Investigators are saying a vehicle was reportedly stranded or disabled on the side of the road in a shoulder as another vehicle stopped to assist. While that driver, identified as off-duty officer Tina Egleston, was assisting the stranded motorist, reports say another vehicle struck one of the two stopped vehicles. Reports say it also struck Egleston and the stranded motorist,  both seriously injured as a result. The condition of the other driver was not stated and police did not have any additional information available.
