What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person and injured thirteen others at Hwy 290 in Brenham TX on April 12th, 2024. Police say the incident happened when an alleged stolen 18-wheeler, operated by 42-year-old Cleanard Parker, was reportedly under pursuit by authorities before making a u-turn and veering eastbound. The vehicle is said to have been making a right turn before veering into a nearby DPS building. Authorities say all 14 individuals inside the building were injuries, three being flown to an area hospital with injuries that one later died from. Three others were also hospitalized while eight others were treated at the scene. Officials say Parker was not injured and faces several charges. Additional information was not available.
