What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that occurred on I-45 around 11 p.m. October 24th, 2024. According to investigators, a Schneider Transport truck, reportedly carrying building supplies, had broken down on the shoulder with safety triangles in place. Officials allege that an Averitt Transport truck, hauling machinery and hazardous materials, veered off course and struck the rear of the Schneider truck. The Schneider driver was allegedly uninjured, while the Averitt driver was allegedly taken to the hospital for treatment. Additional information was not available.
