What Happened

Lewisville Police are investigating a crash that injured a person at Sam Rayburn Tollway and Standridge Dr in Lewisville, TX on December 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:35 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvette were allegedly speeding near the southbound lanes of the tollway when the Mustang struck the rear of a Hyundai Elantra. The impact pushed the Mustang into the path of the Corvette which caused the Corvette to crash into a nearby median and overturn.  The driver of the Mustang, identified as 27-year-old Jordan Brown is said to have fled the scene on-foot before being later apprehended. The driver and passenger of the Corvette were hospitalized with serious injuries. The Hyundai operator was treated at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
