What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at FM 1423 in Hidalgo County, TX on November 28th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 12:17 a.m. A Ford Taurus headed northbound is said to have lost control and skidded into southbound lanes of FM 1423. It then collided with a Chevrolet Malibu. The driver of the Ford, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver and four others in the Malibu were hospitalized with n0n-life-threatening injuries.
