Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at US 290 in Hays County, TX on February 21st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:51 p.m. An unidentified 54-year-old Brea, CA woman was allegedly attempting to run across US 290 to a gas station on the north side the freeway when she was struck by a passing Ford Ranger. The woman suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Additional information was not immediately available.
