What Happened

A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred on April 1, 2025, at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Village Creek Road in rural Hardin County, TX. A 2005 Buick Terraza was traveling southwest at an unsafe speed when the driver lost control on a curved section of the roadway. The vehicle left the road and struck a tree and a chain link fence, causing severe front-end damage and fire-related destruction. The driver, who was the sole occupant, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:45 a.m. No other vehicles were involved. The posted speed limit was 30 mph, and lighting conditions were dark with no streetlights. The crash is not considered intersection-related.
