What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed one person involved at I-610 in Houston, TX on May 8th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 3:10 p.m. Reports say an 18-wheeler hailing a bulldozer was struck by a Mazda that made a lane changes. Reports say the truck lost control, striking a concrete divider in the process, a bulldozer it was hauling becoming detached and falling into oncoming traffic. The bulldozer is said to have struck another vehicle and a truck. The driver of one of the vehicles involved, identified as 63-year-old Joel Angel Guerra, was hospitalized with injuries he later died from. The 18-wheeler operator was hospitalized with head injury, reports say, while the Mazda operator was also hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
