What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at Canino Rd and Airline Dr in Houston, TX on December 17th, 2023. Police say the incident happened as one of four involved vehicles was headed eastbound on Canino Rd. A second vehicle involved was southbound on Airline before allegedly running a red light and colliding with the other vehicle at the intersection. Following the collision, the suspect vehicle is said to have ventured into opposite direction lanes where it collided with another vehicle, creating a chain reaction collision. Reports say one person was ejected from their vehicle in the crash, which struck and killed them after the vehicle landed on top of them. Reports also say  the driver of the suspect vehicle as well as its passengers all allegedly fled the scene on-foot following the crash. Additional information was not available.
