What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 77 in Falls County, TX on January 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:10 p.m. A Ford Crown Victoria operated by 24-year-old Oscar Capetillo was headed northbound on US 77 as a tractor-trailer operated by a 32-year-old Rosenberg man was headed southbound. Investigators say the Ford veered into the path of the truck and the vehicles collided, causing serious injuries to Capetillo. The truck driver was not injured. Responding officers allege Capetillo admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving.
