Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a person at Expressway 83 in San Benito, TX on November 5th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:10 a.m. According to investigators, a Volkswagen Tiguan was allegedly traveling against traffic before colliding head-on with an eastbound Honda Civic. Reports say the driver of the Honda, identified as 39-year-old Oscar Covarrubias Cantu and 38-year-old passenger, Mara Castillo, were seriously injured. The other driver, a 30-year-old woman who was not publicly identified, was seriously injured. Reports indicate that driver was charged with Intoxication Assault.
