What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 290 in Harris County, TX on November 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:40 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu operated by a 44-year-old Houston man was headed eastbound on the service road. At the same time, a Chevrolet Impala operated by 32-year-old Oshean Leon was also headed eastbound before stopping and parking to close the hood of the vehicle, which was up. As this happened, the Malibu collided with the rear of the Impala. While Leon suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police, a 31-year-old passenger is said to have sustained more serious injuries. The Houston man was not injured and officers recommended a Failure to Control Speed citation.
