What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 523 in Angelton, TX on September 2nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:21 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 51-year-old Pearland man was headed eastbound on FM 523 when it attempted to turn left onto the north 288 freeway entrance. Investigators say it failed to yield during this action and collided with a Chevrolet Equinox operated by 70-year-old Pamela Fletcher. Both she and her passenger, 77-year-old Donald Fletcher, suffered minor injuries. The Pearland also suffered minor injuries and was charged with Failure to Yield Right of Way.
