What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at FM 646 in Galveston County, TX on May 23rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:52 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado was westbound on Bayshore Drive before striking a pair of individuals int he roadway. Reports claim one the two individuals, who was not publicly identified, had either fallen of jumped out of a moving vehicle prior to the collision. The other individual, identified as 34-year-old Patrick Robles, was reportedly attempting to help the other individual exit the roadway at the time. Following the initial collision, reports say both Robles and the other pedestrian were struck by a Ford F-250, who operator was allegedly charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Robles was fatally injured in the incident. Additional information was not immediately available.
