Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Hwy 64 in Van Zandt County, TX on June 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:10 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan XE operated by 82-year-old Patsy Hall Franklin was headed westbound on Hwy 64 behind a Dodge Ram. Officials say the Dodge, which was towing an attached trailer, was slowing to make a turn onto County CR 4813 when it was struck in the rear by the Nissan. The impact left Hall with fatal injuries. Officials say the occupants of the Dodge were uninjured and did not have additional information to disclose.
