What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that killed two people at State Hwy 105 in Liberty County, TX on February 24th, 2024. Officials are saying it happened around 1:43 a.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Camry was eastbound on Hwy 105 while a Lexus SC 430 was westbound. The Toyota is alleged to have veered from its lane of travel, for unconfirmed reasons, before colliding with the Lexus. The collision left the driver of the Toyota, identified as 33-year-old Carlos Puac Mazariegos, fatally injured. Also killed was a 53-year-old passenger in the Toyota. Two additional passengers were also injured while the driver of the Lexus, identified as 53-year-old Paul Dang, was seriously injured. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
