What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at US 377 in Hood County, TX on November 4th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:20 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 2500 operated by a 33-year-old Glen Rose man was westbound on US 377. At the same time, a Jeep Wrangler operated by 53-year-old Paulette Dunson was westbound, slowing to make a left turn onto Knox Rd. While doing so, reports allege the Dodge attempted to pass the Jeep, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles. The impact sent the Dodge into a barrow ditch, where it overturning into a nearby fence. The Jeep was into the driveway of a nearby business, reports say. Reports further indicate both Dunson and her passenger, 53-year-old David Dunson, were seriously injured. The Glen Rose man was also seriously injured and charged with Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle, according to reports. Additional information was not available.
