Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at Independence Pkwy in Plano, TX on October 5th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:59 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Patriot operated by a 34-year-old McKinney man was northbound on Independence Parkway before colliding with a 520year-old Fort Worth man. Police allege the Fort Worth man was in the process of being arrested by police for a possible DWI, who say the man resisted arrest and entered into the northbound lanes before he was struck.
