Police say the incident happened around 12:07 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Altima allegedly operated by 26-year-old Pedro Gutierrez was headed northbound in southbound lanes, passing by a marked patrol unit. Authorities allege the vehicle was traveling a speed higher than the posted limit and allegedly did not stop for authorities. The vehicle is said to have lost control and traveled through a ditch before going airborne.
