What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at State Hwy 288 in Manvel, TX on May 25th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:13 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Camry was northbound before allegedly attempting to drive in the center of the roadway between a pair of vehicles. In the process, the Toyota is said to have collided with the rear of one of the vehicles, a Nissan Sentra. The impact is said to have pushed the Nissan into a Lexus RX 300. Reports indicate the driver of the Lexus, identified as 65-year-old Peter John, had non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger, identified as 69-year-old Sosamma John, was seriously injured. The drivers of the Nissan and Toyota were allegedly injured. Sources indicate the driver of the Toyota was charged with Intoxicated Assault. Additional information was not available.
