What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at US 183 and Riverside Dr in Austin, TX on December 30th, 2023. Officials say the incident happened around 2:27 a.m. According to investigators, a GMC Sierra was entering on US 183 at a very ow rate of speed when it was struck from the rear by a Chevrolet Silverado traveling at highway speeds. Officials say the driver of the GMC was allegedly uninjured while the driver of the Chevrolet, a 45-year-old man who was not publicly identified, had serious injured. Reports also say the driver of the Silverado left the scene. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 45-year-old Dominic Barrera, had possible injuries, reports say.
