What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed one person at FM 1182 in Ellis County, TX on April 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:17 p.m. According to investigators, an ATV operated by 40-year-old Carrie Heng was headed northwest on Whitfill Rd before losing control. The vehicle overturned, ejecting its four occupants from the vehicle. One of the occupants, identified as 46-year-old Pheakdey Heng, suffered fatal injuries. Heng and two passengers, identified as 19-year-old Jaylee Woolley and Shaquille Dickerson, were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
