Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed at US 290 in Washington County, TX on April 4th, 2022. They say the incident happened around 6:35 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 operated by 39-year-old Philip Lamar Molitor was headed eastbound in an outside lane of US 290 as it approached a tractor-trailer ahead that was stopped for a school bus ahead. Police say the Ford failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of the tractor-trailer, causing Molitor fatal injuries at the scene. The other driver was not injured.
