What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at US 82 in Sherman, TX on April 24th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:38 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 45-year-old Phillip Murray was approaching the site of a previous crash as ambulance approached. Officials say the ambulance was blocking both lanes of travel as the motorcycle approached, causing it to travel into a right shoulder. As it entered the shoulder, it was forced to veer around it and the blocked ambulance before it made contact with the vehicle involved in the previous crash. That vehicle was not occupied at the time of the collision, according to officials. Murray was taken to Ana area hospital with injuries he lated died from. Additional information was not available.
