What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that injured two people at FM 36 in Caddo Mills, TX on January 30th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:45 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer was attempting to perform a turn to travel southbound on FM 36 from a stop sign. Headed northbound at the intersection on County Rd 2168 was a Nissan Sentra. Officials say the Sentra collided with the rear wheels of the truck as it was turning, the collision leaving 60-year-old Sentra operator, Philomena Adenuga, seriously injured. Also seriously injured, reports say, was a 12-year-old child in the same vehicle. The 35-year-old driver of the truck, who was not publicly identified, was allegedly uninjured. Authorities allege one or both vehicles may have failed to yield in the incident. Additional information was not available.
