What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 31 in Navarro County, TX on April 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:44 p.m. According to investigators, a Mazda 3 operated by 26-year-old Quadre Tremond Lamarve Duncan was headed eastbound on State Hwy 31 ahead of a tractor-trailer operated by a 32-year-old Diana, TX man in an adjacent lane. Police believe the Diana man was distracted while driving, causing the truck to veer from its lane and colliding with the rear of the Mazda. The Mazda was pushed from road into a ditch and Duncan is said to have suffered serious injuries. The Diana man was not injured and reports indicate a Failure to Drive in Single Lane charge was issued.
