What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least one person at Mesa Dr in Houston, TX on June 24th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:48 p.m. According to investigators, a Buick Regal headed eastbound was exiting a private drive as a Mazda CX-9 was turning left. The Mazda is said to have crossed a median while the Buick allegedly performed an improper turn at the same time, the two vehicles colliding in the process. Reports say 46-year-old Mazda passenger, Quinta Okuwa, was seriously injured. The Mazda operator was allegedly uninjured while the driver of the Buick allegedly had minor injuries and was cited for Driving Wrong Way on One-Way Street. Additional information was not available.
