Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-35E in Italy, TX on May 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Cadillac CTS operated by 18-year-old Rachel Morales entered the northbound lanes of I-35E headed southbound before changing lanes and colliding with a tractor-trailer. The impact left Morales with fatal injuries. The driver of the truck, a 31-year-old Ottawa, ON man was evaluated for possible injuries and a 31-year-0ld passenger was more seriously injured.
