What Happened

A two-vehicle collision involving a commercial truck led to serious injuries for one driver. Police say the incident occurred at US 277 in Taylor, TX on December 28th, 2022. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 3500 and Mack truck were headed northeast on US 277 around 6:40 a.m. At some point, the Dodge allegedly passed the Mack truck into a no-passing zone before traveling right and hitting the bumper of the Mack truck. The collision sent the vehicle into a skid where it hit a junction box and fence. After going airborne as a result, the truck landed and overturned. The driver, identified as 49-year-old Randall Clinton Farmer, was seriously injured. The other driver involved was not injured. Authorities did not disclose any additional information.
