What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 259 in Morris County, TX on June 25th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 9:16 p.m. A Chevrolet Silverado C1500 operated by 29-year-old Randy Ryan Rocks reportedly collided with the rear of a Dodge Ram 1500 when, according to Rocks, an animal ran into the roadway. The driver of the Ram, 46-year-old Reginald Stern, suffered serious injuries. Responding officers allege that Stern may have been intoxicated and that there were evident signs he had been drinking. Rocks suffered less serious injuries and was issued a Failure to Control Speed charge. Stern received citations for Expired Driver's License and Operation of Vehicle with Expired License Plate.
