Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at US 84 and Vicha Rd in McLennan County, TX on August 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:36 p.m. Investigators say a Chevrolet Suburban operated by a suspected intoxicated driver was headed eastbound on US 84 before failing to yield during a turn and colliding with a Volkswagen Passat operated by 24-year-old Rashad Jones. Jones suffered minor injuries, as did the other driver, while a passenger in the Passat, age 36, was more seriously injured. Officers recommended and/or issued charges for Failure to Yield and Open Container in Motor Vehicle.
