What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Sam Rayburn Tollway in Carrollton, TX on February 10th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 3:36 a.m. According to investigators, an Audi RS5 was allegedly traveling the wrong direction in a northeast lane before collided with a northbound Honda Accord. Reports indicate the driver of the Honda, identified as 47-year-old Ratna Koneru, was killed. A passenger in the vehicle, age 48 and not publicly identified, was seriously injured, reports say. Reports also say the driver of the Audi, a 44-year-old man who was also not publicly identified, was also seriously injured. Authorities allege the man may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
