What Happened

Authorities have information on a collision that killed one person involved at Cemetery Rd in Decatur, TX on August 14th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:24 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-250 was headed southbound on Cemetery Rd, lots operator allegedly on a video call. Traveling via auto bike and headed northbound was 72-year-old Raudel Perez. Reports allege the Ford veered into the northbound lane, striking Perez and causing Perez to be ejected from the bike. Sources indicate Perez was fatally injured in the incident and show a charge of Manslaughter was recommended and/or issued.
