What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a driver at Ferguson Rd in Dallas, TX on October 2nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:56 a.m. A Toyota Tacoma was reportedly seen but witnesses at the scene weaving in and out of traffic while headed eastbound on Ferguson. The vehicle was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed while doing so and lost control, crashing into the rear of a transit bus. The witness further alleged that the driver of the Tacoma, 53-year-old Raul Flores, attempted to flee the scene with the vehicle but was unable to do so due to the extent of the damage. Flores suffered serious injuries while a 59-year-old woman on the bus was evaluated for possible injuries. Investigators allegedly suspect that Flores had been drinking.
