What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information on a crash that killed a motorcyclist at FM 493 in Donna, TX on April 17th, 2023. Police are saying the incident happened around 7 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 and motorcycle were involved in a head-on collision. Police allege the motorcycle performed a wide right turn onto northbound FM 493 before colliding with the Ford. The impact ejected the motorcyclist, identified as 19-year-old Raul Osiel Luna, while the Ford collided with a nearby utility pole. Luna was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. The other driver was hospitalized with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
