Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at State Hwy 34 near Greenville, TX on January 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11 a.m. A Cadillac Escalade headed northbound on Hwy 34 is said to have veered from the road for unknown reasons before crashing into a culvert in a northbound bar ditch. This caused the vehicle to overturn and the driver, who is alleged to not have been wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. The driver was identified as 78-year-old Raymond Ballard.
