What Happened

Arlington Police are investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian at East Division St in Arlington, TX on October 4th, 2021. Police say that 52-year-old Raymond Herschel Johnson II was struck by an SUV that was being operated by an allegedly intoxicated 39-year-old man. Johnson was crossing the street at the time and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The vehicle, a Toyota 4Runner, left the scene after the collision. Police later arrested the driver, Charles Owoko, with Driving While Intoxicated and Causing an Accident Involving Death charges.
