Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 917 in Johnson County, TX on July 13th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:08 p.m. Investigators believe a Buick Encore operate day 32-year-old Rebecca Mason was headed northwest on Green Ridge Ln, performing a turn onto FM 917 at a flashing red light. Headed northeast through FM 917 was a commercial truck operated by a 33-year-old driver. Police allege one of the vehicles may have failed to yield at the intersection before they both collided, leaving Mason with injuries believed to be serious in nature. Police say Mason was hospitalized for treatment and also say the commercial truck operator was allegedly uninjured. Additional information was not available.
