What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 69 in Cherokee County, TX on July 14th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:40 a.m. A Chrysler 300 operated by 72-year-old Rebecca Stone Lindsey reportedly was traveling south in an outside lane when it made a lane change and collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer. Lindsey suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
