What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-610 in Houston, TX on April 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:24 p.m. According to police, a Toyota Tacoma operated by 28-year-old David Lopez was headed eastbound in a far right lane when it reportedly failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a GMC Yukon operated by 53-year-old Regina Adams. The impact forced the vehicle to spin before it was struck head-on by a Buick LeSabre. Both Adams and the driver of the LeSabre suffered serious injuries.  A 15-year-old passenger in the Yukon and Lopez were reportedly uninjured. Reports indicate a DWI charge was recommended and/or issued on behalf of Lopez.
