Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 69 in Tyler, TX on June 22nd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:44 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Civic was entering the roadway after turning out of a private driveway, allegedly while unsafe to do so, before striking a southbound motorcyclist. The impact is said to have caused the motorcycle to fall and slide into the path of an approaching Toyota Sequoia. The motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Renato Cesar, was seriously injured, reports say. The driver of the Honda was not publicly identified and allegedly uninjured.
