What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-820 in Fort Worth, TX on March 23rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:29 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by 29-year-old a Calexico, CA man was headed southbound on Loop 820 while a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by Rex Daniel Wood was traveling ahead of the truck. As traffic in the area slowed, police say the truck collided with the rear of the Dodge, pushing the Dodge into a Mercedes Benz operated by 40-year-old Kito Chantal Chapman. Wood and Chapman both suffered minor injuries while the Calexico man was reportedly uninjured. Additional information was not immediately available.
