Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at US 87 in Dawson County, TX on May 2nd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:58 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Camry headed northbound is alleged to have failed to yield before colliding with a southeast bound GMC Acadia. The driver of the GMC, identified as 89-year-old Rex Zant, was fatally injured. Authorities say the other driver, who was seriously injured and not publicly identified, was charged with Failure to Yield Row at Stop Intersection.
