Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Cartwright Rd in Mesquite, TX on February 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 3 a.m. Investigators are saying a Toyota Corolla headed westbound on West Cartwright Rd before losing control and crashing into a center median. Reports allege a passenger in the vehicle may have become involved in an altercation with the driver, resulting in the passenger allegedly taking hold of the steering wheel. Police allege this may have contributed to the crash, which left 40-year-old passenger, Ricardo Serrano, fatally injured.
